Advantageous FECEMD Services for International Direct Advertisers

Foreign organizations are offered the opportunity of applying for FECEMD membership.  All applications are examined by an admissions committee.
Nearly all the FECEMD services are available to members only.
 
Newsletter:
Every month the FECEMD publishes a 16-page Spanish-language summary of the latest news, along with current seminar events and other offerings.
 
Library:
The FECEMD has a collection of over 100 specialized books and thousands of newspaper cuttings. There is also an on-line information service.
 
Legal advice
The association offers an initial guide to understanding national direct marketing legislation.
 
Business relations:   
The FECEMD brings together business partners for campaigns in Spain.
 
Other services:
Quarterly sector meetings, attended by 100 member firms on average, and a trade exhibition catalogue, publishedannually. The association also organizes conferences and other direct marketing events.

Postal Services

Correos y Telégrafos is a public institution providing postal, telecommunications and financial services. It is thus available to everyone in Spain as a general mail service at economic prices based on proven quality standards.

The corporation reaches 17 million addressees and 2 million companies daily, via a workforce of around 65,500 and a network of some 10,400 customer centres.

The annual volume last year was over 5 billion mailings. Correos y Telégrafos offers a wide range of products for both the individual and the corporate user, from the conventional letter to express parcels services to direct mail products. Customers can also access a varied range
of information and services on the Internet at www.correos.es.

Direct Mail Details:

Direct Mail
Definition: a communications medium comprising of advertising, marketing or PR material only.  All items are identical except for the addressee's name, address and identifying code, if used.

Minimum volume 500 items, to be conveyed and delivered to the addresses marked by the sender on the items themselves or on the mailing envelopes.  Invoices, reminders, statements of account and other non-identical notifications are not classed as direct mail.
